Burns Night is one of our favourite nights of the year, steeped in Scottish tradition and of course, Whisky, and this year we’ll be celebrating with a very special one off dinner at The Ox Corn Street.
For just £30 you can join us for a night of traditional Scottish comfort food, cooked in true Ox style, matched with an exceptional flight of Whisky from the fine folk at Compass Box. With a thoroughly modern, forward-thinking approach to creating Scotch Whisky, we’re incredibly pleased to be fusing old Burns traditions with one of the most exciting brands out there. With the help of our favourite Whisky expert Russell Jackson, Compass Box will be treating us to a selection of their range, through from their signature range, Great King street and perhaps even a limited edition blend, just for good measure. All of our Whiskies will be matched with each of our three courses, created specially for the evening by our Executive Chef:
Beetroot cured loch duart salmon, horseradish, drop scones
Haggis, neeps & tatties, lamb gravy, buttered winter greens
Warm ginger pudding, salt caramel sauce, whiskey and prune ice cream
We’ll also be treating you to a variety of Burns Night traditions, including the ‘piping of the guests’, the address to the haggis and recitals of Burns poetry.
